Freelance reporter Matthew Cole recognized him -- something the TSA agent checking identification did not."
The Digital Journal asks -- who is Matthew Cole? And if he is really a so-called "reporter" or "journalist" and not a government shill, why didn't he take a picture with his iPhone?
The "Kissinger Got Groped" story took off across the internet as mainline and alternative media wrung their respective hands on how sad that this elderly war criminal had to endure being manhandled by TSA goons.
Then the Wall Street Journal's James Taranto wrote a piece called "The False Monty" in which he claimed that "TSA agents did 'nothing untoward' to Henry Kissinger."
"The story was propagated widely, showing up, among other places, at Time.com, New York's Daily News and the website of CBS News's Washington stations," Taranto continues.
Then Taranto comes up with a zinger that still makes no sense. Taranto writes -- "The only problem is that the story isn't true, except to the extent that it isn't news."
Read that sentence several times.
So is it "true" or isn't it?
Was it Kissinger -- or was it a double? Or maybe a Kissinger clone?
We'll never know because alleged journalist Matthew Cole -- or is it Matt Cole -- gave the Washington Post an unsubstantiated report commonly called "hearsay," which they dutifully published as "news."
The punchline? All everyone will ever remember is that TSA groped Henry Kissinger at the airport -- whether true or not.
The message is loud and clear: "Bitchez, you better comply!"
