(9-1-14) Uncle Vlad Putin's new strategy regarding the Ukrainian situation has become clear and you can see that reflected in the markets, in that the markets are no longer selling off, as they had been on every fresh move by Uncle Vlad.
Why? Because he's making his longer-term strategy clearer by his recent actions – the reinforcement of the Russian position in eastern Ukraine.
In other words, Uncle Vlad is strengthening his position in Ukraine regarding the "Ukrainian separatists" as they’re being billed – rather than calling them "Russian soldiers out of uniform pretending to be Ukrainian separatists." There is no such thing as "Ukrainian separatists." This is a word the Russians made up.
They are Spetznaz or Russian Special Forces and that's the reason they’ve been able to hang on -- despite several real efforts by the Ukrainian Army to get them out – since they're pretty tough fighters.
Now it's gotten to the point that Vlad has been unable to re-supply them because the Ukrainian Air Force had moved anti-aircraft missile batteries too close to the so-called "Russian influence zone" that the Russian Air Force couldn’t resupply the so-called separatists from the air anymore.
